Kris Bryant missed a significant portion of time in his first season with the Colorado Rockies due to injuries.
However, when he was healthy, he put up some pretty good numbers, hitting for a .306 average and posting an OPS of .851 and an OPS+ of 127.
So far, the former MVP and 2016 World Series champion is off to a hot start this spring.
On MLB Network’s Hot Stove show, analyst Jon Morosi joined Matt Vasgersian and Harold Reynolds to discuss Bryant’s hot start to the spring and what it could ultimately mean for the Rockies as they prepare for the 2023 season.

Morosi discussed a story written by MLB.com writer Thomas Harding, which highlighted how Bryant was feeling heading into the new season.
Bryant is reportedly feeling much better and is prepared for a strong campaign this year.
Bryant was a late signing for the Rockies after the end of the lockout last year.
He signed a seven-year, $182 million contract on March 18 and was set to become the building block for the team’s future.
Unfortunately, injuries derailed him.
The veteran slugger was placed on the injured list three times last season, with his third trip to the IL ultimately putting an end to his first season in Colorado.
Morosi says that the key is that Bryant is back on the field after playing in less than 50 games last season and is ready to bounce back in year two wearing a Rockies uniform.
Morosi closed his statement by saying that a healthy Bryant is also a productive one.
