Spring training is finally here and we can officially say that baseball is back.

It’s time to kick off the excitement for the 2023 MLB season, which will get underway at the end of March.

And on the first day of spring camp, a certain pitcher from the St. Louis Cardinals came prepared.

According to team insider Jeff Jones, veteran right-hander Miles Mikolas is ready to go and showed up at the team’s spring training complex blasting “The Boys Are Back In Town” by Thin Lizzy at full volume from his truck, which appears to be his way of letting everybody know that he’s back and ready for action.

Mikolas certainly came prepared for spring training.

He’s in the final year of his contract with the Cardinals, but could very well be extended this spring, which could mean he’ll show up to spring training in 2024 blasting the classic song, just as he did this year.

Either way, it seems to be his way of welcoming the new season and the start of spring training.

He’s certainly ready to go and hopes to repeat his success from 2022 as the Cardinals attempt to defend their National League Central division title.

The 34-year-old enjoyed a solid season, winning 12 games in 33 games, 32 of which were starts.

In those appearances, Mikolas amassed a total of 202.1 innings pitched and an ERA of 3.29.

This year, he’s set to lead the Cardinals starting rotation alongside Adam Wainwright and Jack Flaherty.

He had quite the perfect entrance for spring training, which proves that he’s ready to roll in 2023.
