Michael Harris II certainly had a year to remember in 2022.

The 21-year-old outfielder was called up to the Atlanta Braves on May 28 and quickly took the league by storm.

Harris hit .297 with 19 home runs and an .853 OPS, which was enough to not only earn him a nice contract extension with the Braves, but also National League Rookie of the Year honors.

Recently, a documentary about the reigning NL Rookie of the Year was released titled “Michael Harris II: The Dream and the Journey.”

In the tweet below courtesy of MLB, a snippet of the documentary can be seen, with two people close to the young outfielder talking about what he brings to the table and how important his journey is.

In the video, Harris was described as a role model to young African-American kids who dream of playing baseball and someone who could potentially provide hope for them as a star who overcomes adversity to reach the big leagues.

Harris burst onto the scene relatively quickly, taking the entire baseball world by storm and showing just what he could do on the field.

And if 2022 was any indication, the best is still yet to come for the reigning Rookie of the Year.

He helped guide the Braves to a 101-win season which netted them their fifth consecutive National League East title.

Though the Braves fell short against the Phillies, Harris still has a bright future ahead of him and will be a centerpiece for the team as they look to continue their run of success.
