The New York Mets lost again on Wednesday and are now 17 games out of first place in the NL East.

His 36-44 record is much, much worse than anyone imagined, and that includes team members, his own fans, and other fan bases.

Things have gotten so bad that owner Steven Cohen had to calm everyone down this week.

Fans are looking for answers and no one has them.

It’s true that the Mets have had to deal with numerous injuries, particularly to the starting rotation and bullpen.

They’re without key reliever Edwin Diaz and big-time starter Jose Quintana, and veterans Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer also had to lose time for various reasons at some point this year.

However, a Mets reliever, Adam Ottavino, told team member Anthony DiComo an unequivocal truth: Other teams face adversity, too.

The Mets haven’t overcome adversity, while teams like the Miami Marlins have found success even with their best position player, Jazz Chisholm Jr., missing about six weeks until recently returning.

Their ace, Sandy Alcantara, has regressed considerably, but here they are.

The Atlanta Braves lost Max Fried to injury, and the Philadelphia Phillies also went weeks without their best player, Bryce Harper.

The same issues that have plagued the Mets all year have plagued other teams.

That’s why the Mets need to look inside and engage with themselves and their fans.

They need to improve, because they have it in them.

They are capable of achieving a return to form and fighting for a playoff spot.

They will do it?
