There is great optimism that Maxi Kleber will return to the discipline of the Mavericks this Tuesday, coinciding with the game that will measure those from Texas against the Indiana Pacers, according to journalist Marc Stein.
The German interior has participated in its second 5-on-5 training session in the last four days, which is another promising sign that it is about to return to the NBA courts.
Kleber has been sidelined since mid-December with a sprained knee. The first forecasts established a recovery period ranging between six and eight weeks, which has already been exceeded. The player himself shared his optimism about returning before the All-Star break but the coaching staff’s stance was one of complete caution.
Kleber’s return means bringing back one of the Mavericks’ best defenders and one of the most versatile players available to head coach Jason Kidd. In the 22 games he has played this season, he averages 6.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals.
