On Sunday, the Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a 10-5 loss at the hands of the emerging St. Louis Cardinals.
The Dodgers ultimately lost three out of four in St. Louis.
In the middle of Sunday’s game, slugger Max Muncy disputed a strike call that ultimately led to an ejection.
Muncy exchanged words with the home plate umpire before directing his frustration towards third base umpire and crew chief Paul Emmel.
After the game, Muncy spoke with the media and discussed his frustration over the situation, and even went as far as to say that he felt the Cardinals were “bullying” the umpires into making questionable strike calls.

Muncy stated that his frustration was a culmination of things that took place during the four-game weekend series and certain calls that were made.
He said he was less frustrated about the call that ultimately resulted in him striking out before arguing and subsequently being ejected.
Muncy also acknowledged that umpires are human and will make mistakes from time to time, and even expressed regret for walking towards Emmel after his strikeout.
But he made his opinion on the matter clear; that he thought the Cardinals catchers were talking to the umpires into making calls that benefited them.
Finally, Muncy stated that he hopes to learn from the ejection and to better control his emotions in those situations.
The Dodgers remain at the top of the NL West with a record of 29-19.
That is second behind the Atlanta Braves, who have a record of 29-17 and lead the NL East.
