The Baltimore Ravens have recently signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year contract, answering one of the biggest free-agent questions.

Beckham joins a depleted wide receiver room that has been in search of a true number one after Marquise Brown left the team.

While this signing has received mixed reviews, Marcus Spears called this a “magic” move for the Ravens.

Beckham’s deal is worth up to $18 million, depending on various incentives that are built into his contract.

This will be his first time on the gridiron since he tore his ACL in the 2021 Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.

As Spears highlights, “This is his best opportunity to get a long-term deal.”

While Beckham is only signed to the Ravens for the 2023 season, Spears believes that he can achieve a long-term contract if this season goes well.

The Ravens haven’t had a Pro Bowl-caliber wide receiver during Lamar Jackson’s tenure with the team, and Beckham changes that narrative.

Beckham’s veteran presence could prove to be valuable in the Ravens’ locker room, especially within the wide receivers.

One question that still remains, is Beckham’s health moving forward.

When he has been fully healthy, Beckham is proven to be one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

He has been away from the NFL for over a year and could have some rust to knock off as a result.
