The Utah Jazz have finalized the signing of Luka Samanic under a ten-day contract, according to reported by the journalist The AthleticShams Charania.
Selected in the 19th position of the 2019 draft, the power forward only played 36 games in his first two seasons in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs. The Texas franchise would cut it in October 2021.
Since then he has not played a league game again despite signing a dual contract with the New York Knicks and subsequently participating in the ‘training camp’ of the Boston Celtics. Consequently he has completed this entire season in the G-League, as part of the Maine Celtics. With them he has averaged 22.0 points and 8.1 rebounds in 27 games.
The 23-year-old Croat will pocket $109,318 over the life of the contract. At the same time, Jarrell Brantley has finished his ten-day contract, so the Jazz still have a space available on their roster.
