Lakers won’t trade before Thanksgiving

If the urgency of the Los Angeles fan to transfer Russell Westbrook was evident before the start of the season, it has intensified after the team’s debut. Los Angeles Lakers have been involved in constant rumors for the base’s departure. None of which has come to fruition. And it seems that they are going to continue without doing it, since the franchise does not plan to make any major movement until Thanksgiving in the United States. That is, until the end of November.

At that point the season will have sold out about 15 pro-franchise games. Enough time to get used to what works and what doesn’t. At least this would be the argument applicable to any group, but the problems of the Lakers are not exactly new. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, in this case the reason for so much patience is the expectation of getting better deals as the weeks go by and the market closes. The journalist assures that the Los Angeles franchise is still looking for a transfer that involves Russ and at least one of the two first-round elections that they still have.

What they have carried out before exhausting the off-season has been the renewal of Rob Pelinka until 2026. The manager has repeatedly renounced movements that would have led to the departure of Westbrook, although probably also those of the picks. In his favour, it must be said that these decisions have been made with the advice of other members of the board, among which the Buss brothers stand out.
