Lakers try Tristan Thompson and Tony Bradley

The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to shore up their roster in the no-team market. The Angelenos still have a hole in their rosterand according to Shams Charania, a journalist for The Athletic, they are currently considering the option of filling it with Tristan Thompson or Tony Bradley. As he assures, the franchise is carrying out training sessions with both players to study their possible incorporation, and they will reach a conclusion on the matter in the coming days.

Thompson, who was an important part of the ring that LeBron James won in Cleveland in 2016, has been without a team since the end of last season, in which he signed with the Bulls after being released by Indiana and played 23 games with them. The center finished with averages of 5.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in his brief stage with Illinois, in which it became clear that he is far from his best years but in which he had some interesting nights at the level of internal production.

Bradley, for his part, was also in those Bulls, as well as in those of this season, at least until he was cut on February 21 due to his low presence in the rotation. His appearances have been limited exclusively to the final minutes of matches already decided, so he has not had the opportunity to test his abilities in a competitive context throughout the course. We’ll see if he finds this opportunity with the Lakers, who need a third big man on the team in case Anthony Davis has to miss another night.

In any case, it seems clear that the Californians seek to reinforce their internal rotation. Now it’s just a matter of seeing if the chosen one is one of these two players or someone else.
