Lakers and Timberwolves have negotiated with Charlotte for Terry Rozier

Terry Rozier is one of the main commercial assets available to the Charlotte Hornets facing the ‘trade deadline’, plus Mason Plumlee and Gordon Hayward. With 48 hours to go before the NBA market officially closes, several franchises have picked up their phone to negotiate a potential transfer for the guard.

According to journalist sources from yahoo sports, Jake Fischer, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves have entered commercial negotiations for Rozier although it is not specified how advanced these conversations have been or the potential pieces that could be involved.

The Lakers continue to explore their trade possibilities around Russell Westbrook with the aim of improving the team. Still, the Los Angeles front office is hesitant to part with its 2027 and 2029 first-round picks. At least not at any price. At the same time, Rob Pelinka has been negotiating a potential operation with the Utah Jazz.

For their part, various reports have been shared in recent weeks that the Timberwolves are looking for a starting point guard while they explore the market value of D’Angelo Russell, who is in the last year of his current contract. At 28 years old, Rozier is averaging 21.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists. Ahead of him he has another three seasons left on his contract.
