Despite possessing plenty of great talent, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has received his share of criticism ever since entering the NFL in 2019.

He has made a couple of Pro Bowls and led the Cardinals to the playoffs last season, but plenty of people have doubted whether he has the intangibles to take the next step and become an elite quarterback.

Ever since tearing his ACL late in the schedule, Murray has been working hard to rehabilitate and be ready for the next season, and in doing so, he is addressing his critics.

Murray was the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, and those who believed in his potential lauded his incredible speed and quickness in the open field.

When he gets out of the pocket and eludes defenders, he is like a squirrel on the run because of his physical qualities, and he is not easy to catch in those situations.

In four seasons he has accumulated 2,204 rushing yards and 23 rushing touchdowns, and he topped out at 819 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground in the 2020 season.

One of the questions surrounding Murray has been whether he has been enough of a threat while throwing the football.

This season he completed 66.4 percent of his passes, but he had just 14 touchdown passes and 215.3 passing yards per contest, both of which were career lows.

Next season, Murray will have a new head coach in Jonathan Gannon, the former Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator who the Cardinals hired this week, but his health is an issue for the team moving forward.
