KJ Martin has been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for two future second-round picks, a source has told the Los Angeles reporter. ESPNAdrian Wojnarowski.
The forward ends a three-season stage with the Houston Rockets, the team that selected him in 52nd place in the 2020 Draft. Martin has become one of the players with the greatest progress in the league, in each edition he increases his numbers and in 2022-2023 achieved tops of 12.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 56 percent effectiveness from the field.
The native of California, in addition, has shown his high physical resistance in the last two editions by playing 161 of 164 games. This quality will be especially valued in a veteran team like the Clippers.
The 22-year-old is the son of Kenyon, who played in 15 NBA games including one with Los Angeles. Precisely the current president of operations of the organization, Lawrence Frank, directed his father as a coach in the New Jersey Nets.
