Khris Middleton renews with Milwaukee

Three-time All-Star Khris Middleton has agreed to a new $102 million, three-year contract to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks, his agents Mike Lindeman and Jeff Schwartz confirmed to the outlet. ESPN.

Middleton averaged 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists in just 24.3 minutes in the 33 games he played in the Wisconsin jersey this season. He missed the first 20 games due to offseason left wrist surgery and 18 more games because of a right knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery following playoff elimination.

Middleton, who turns 32 in August, declined the $40.4 million player option for the final year of the five-year, $177.5 million maximum contract he signed with the Bucks in 2019. That decision created some urgency in the organization in order to secure another high-paying deal. The deep friendship that unites Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the team’s top star, has favored the signing of this new contract despite its amount and the recent history of injuries abroad.
