After officially disassociating himself with the Cleveland Cavaliers, sources close to journalist Adrian Wojnarowski have confirmed that Kevin Love will be a new Miami Heat player. The 34-year-old interior will sign for the remainder of the regular season once the ‘waiver period’ ends.
In this way, Love joins the ranks of Erik Spoelstra despite the great interest that other teams have shown, such as the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, and more recently Philadelphia 76ers, with whom it is said that he had a meeting with them.
Love puts an end to a stage of eight and a half seasons (2014-23) where he won the NBA ring champion in 2016, beating the great favorite in the Finals: Golden State Warriors.
His figures in the Ohio franchise have been 15.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 28.6 minutes in 489 official games (380 starting as a starter).
Zeller also arrives
The aforementioned Wojnarowski also points to a second signing by the Miami management, center Cody Zeller, who arrives as a free agent after the Utah Jazz fired him on October 15, 2022.
Prior to his arrival in Salt Lake City, he has dressed the colors of the Charlotte Hornets (2013-21) and Portland Trail Blazers (2021-21) with career figures of 8.5 points, 6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 22.2 minutes in 494 official matches (273 as a starter).
