The Philadelphia Phillies went on a magical run to the World Series last October, recovering from an ugly start to capture the third Wild Card spot in the National League and ride that momentum deep into October.

Bryce Harper was one of the key factors for the team during their run.

Serving as the team’s designated hitter due to an elbow injury, Harper hit six home runs and had a batting average of .349 in the postseason.

However, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports noted something very important about Harper.

Rosenthal recently talked about how he had several opportunities to talk to the veteran slugger during the postseason and how Harper being willing to talk rubbed off on his Phillies teammates.

Rosenthal noted that Harper embraced the role of leader in the clubhouse.

Being one of the key veterans in the clubhouse, Harper certainly has knowledge to share.

But Rosenthal talked a lot about Harper and his willingness to speak to the media.

The reporter said that he believes Harper doing interviews rubbed off on his teammates and gave them the confidence to put themselves out to the world and talk about life as a professional baseball player.

Rosenthal was around the Phillies for much of the postseason, so he had plenty of time to speak with Harper and his teammates and witness the impact of Harper’s leadership skills on his teammates and the rest of the baseball world.
