The San Diego Padres were certainly busy this offseason.
They already had stars such as Manny Machado, Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto, Joe Musgrove, Josh Hader, and Yu Darvish on their roster.
However, they chose to supplement their talented roster with a few key moves, signing sluggers Xander Bogaerts, Matt Carpenter, and Nelson Cruz.
And the additions have the Padres feeling good about things after a run to the NLCS last year.
Soto is certainly happy with the way things are going.
Today is photo day for the Padres, and MLB managed to catch a picture of Soto with a big smile on his face for the big day.

There are a lot of reasons for Soto to be smiling.
Firstly, he’s one of the centerpieces of a very stacked roster with stars up and down the starting lineup and rotation.
Also, he’s poised for a big year.
The Padres reached the NLCS last year, but fell short in five games against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Soto has experienced the World Series before, having been with the Washington Nationals in 2019.
But with all the stars on the Padres roster, he’ll have a chance to make that happen again.
Tatis will return from his suspension and give the Padres a truly dangerous lineup, one that can contend for a World Series title.
And on photo day, the good vibes can be felt all around Padres camp in Arizona.
Soto is ready to roll and has a great team to play with as he hopes to lead the Padres back to the playoffs.
