The NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and Aaron Rodgers is still a member of the Green Bay Packers.

Although Rodgers has made his intentions known that he wishes to play for the New York Jets, a deal has not yet been signed.

With the Rodgers situation looming, the Jets have signed a different veteran quarterback.

Per Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Jets have agreed with former Packers backup Tim Boyle.

Boyle is a five-year veteran and has spent time with the Packers, Detroit Lions, and Chicago Bears.

It appears, at least for now, that Boyle isn’t making strides to join the Minnesota Vikings, which would complete his tour of the NFC North.

Assuming that the Rodgers deal does get completed, Boyle will be the third quarterback on the Jets roster after Rodgers and Zach Wilson.

Wilson was the Jets’ second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he has not panned out the way that the team had initially planned, paving the way for Rodgers and Boyle to join the roster.

Despite his five years in the NFL, Boyle has appeared in just 16 games, starting in only three.

To date, his career stat line is 574 passing yards, three touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

While Boyle hasn’t necessarily had a banner career, he is another piece to the Jets offense that has familiarity with Rodgers.

The Jets have already added Allen Lazard to the roster, a former teammate of both Rodgers and Boyle.

Who else will the Jets add in their search to fully appease Rodgers?
