The New York Jets are loading up for a huge 2023 season.

They have made a bunch of moves in free agency, but Jets fans only need to see one player in the green and white.

That is four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers has already announced that he would like to play for the Jets, and a trade between New York and Green Bay is in the works.

This potential trade is the worst-kept secret in the NFL and should be done by draft day.

The Jets want to have Rodgers with the team when offseason workouts begin.

Yet they have a contingency plan in place if he is not with the team.

New York agreed to a one-year contract with long-time backup quarterback Tim Boyle.

Boyle spent his first two seasons in Green Bay and understands the offense that Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett wants to run.

According to Rich Cimini, that was a big reason for the mutual interest between Boyle and the Jets.

Boyle can help mentor Zach Wilson and help him learn the new offense.

It seems that Wilson would be the backup to Rodgers if that deal gets done.

But, the Jets are expecting to compete in the AFC for 2023.

They have a very good defense and the one thing that has held them back is quarterback play.

If the Jets can land Rodgers and get him acclimated with the team, they can be serious threats in a difficult AFC.
