On Tuesday, the Miami Marlins got a big boost with the return of Jazz Chisholm Jr.

The Marlins’ star center fielder had been out since May 16 with a toe in his right foot.

However, he made his return Tuesday night when the Marlins opened a crucial series at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox.

Chisholm had a night to remember against the Red Sox.

In his return from the disabled list, he went 3 for 4 at the plate, driving in three runs and scoring two.

Taking to Twitter, MLB Network posted some of their stats from last night’s win over the Red Sox at Fenway.

The Marlins had 10 runs against the Red Sox and posted a 10-1 victory in the series opener.

The victory moved the Fish 12 games over the .500 mark and kept them within 6.5 games of first-place Atlanta Braves in the NL East.

Miami has now won seven of its last 10 games and is riding a three-game winning streak.

Chisholm’s return from the disabled list gave them a spark as they recorded 19 hits against a battered Red Sox pitching staff.

All of that was enough for ace Sandy Alcantara to pitch a gem against the Sox, allowing just one run in seven innings of work.

But Chisholm was the story of the game for the Fish, leading the way for the Marlins as they took care of business in the series opener.

With their star center fielder back, the Marlins will be looking for a series win.
