The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the most improved teams in 2022 after a disastrous 2021 campaign.
In 2021, the Jaguars not only had a 3-14 record, but the team was unorganized, chaotic, and lacking an overall identity.
However, once Doug Pederson took over as head coach in 2022, the organization had a massive shift.
They finished the season with a 9-8 record and won a playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Jaguars are entering the 2023 season with their heads held high and will search for even greater success.
In a recent interview, Jaguars owner, Shad Khan, commented on what the team will look like moving forward.
“I think we’ve cracked the code,” said Khan.
Khan later cites that the Jaguars have a trifecta for success, saying, “We’ve got a great head coach, a great general manager, and a great quarterback.”
When Trevor Lawrence was drafted in 2021, the organization had a lot of hope for the first time in several years.
Khan seems to believe that with Lawrence at the helm, and a great head coach and GM, the Jaguars will be able to find great success.
When asked about his biggest takeaway from the 2022 season, Khan’s answer was simple.
“Don’t quit,” said Khan.
He believes that the players and coaches believed in each other and that the fans have been nothing but supportive of their team.
Will the Jaguars be able to make a strong playoff push during the 2023 season?
If Khan’s attitude and overall messaging are any indication, the Jaguars aren’t going to go out without a fight.
