The series opener on Monday night between the St. Louis Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks was a pitcher’s duel most of the way through.
Merrill Kelly and Jack Flaherty each delivered strong performances and kept their teams in the game.
Flaherty was quite efficient too, as he reached the seventh inning and had only allowed two runs.
However, the right-hander left the game trailing 2-1 with two runners on.
Andre Pallante walked a batter and proceeded to give up a grand slam to make it a 6-1 game.
After the grand slam, the Bally Sports Midwest cameras panned over to a frustrated Flaherty in the Cardinals dugout.
On Twitter, Cardinals insider Brenden Schaeffer posted a picture of Flaherty standing next to Willie McGee with his arms crossed and an angry look on his face.

Flaherty was certainly efficient on Monday, but everything was spoiled when Pavin Smith hit the grand slam to put the game out of reach.
Understandably, the right-hander was stunned in disbelief.
Ultimately, Flaherty allowed four runs over six innings of work.
He managed to strike out four batters and allowed just four hits while walking three.
But the look on his face after the grand slam summed up just how frustrating of a night it was for the Cardinals and their fans.
St. Louis added two runs on a home run by Alec Burleson, but that was all they could muster as they dropped to 7-10 on the season and fell to five games back of first place in the NL Central.
