Immanuel Quickley, untouchable for Thibodeau

The New York Knicks are reluctant to trade Immanuel Quickley, according to sources close to the outlet. The Athletic. Just as in December they were willing to move him for a future first round of the Draft, in the last two months his poster has taken a radical turn, being an untouchable for Tom Thibodeau.

With veteran Derrick Rose relegated to the background, Quickley has taken over all the limelight from the bench, and has even more than delivered as a starter with momentary injuries to Jalen Brunson and teammate RJ Barrett.

The third-year player is receiving a salary of 2.31 million dollars, and in the next season he will enter his last year rookies valued at 4.17 million. Presumably in the summer both parties will negotiate a possible long-term agreement.
