In the last two offseasons, the Atlanta Braves have traded for Oakland Athletics’ stars.
The Braves are a winning, contending franchise that always looks for potential upgrades at various positions.
They have a rich, deep farm system and are not afraid of dealing some prospects for the right player.
The A’s, on the other hand, are a rebuilding team in need of impact prospects, and they traded most of their stars in the last two seasons.
Obviously, there were several matches to be made between these two squads.
The fact that Matt Olson and Sean Murphy (and other players in the past) have gone from Oakland to Atlanta recently has resulted in lots of Internet jokes and memes, particularly on Twitter.

Twitter users have hilariously identified the Braves’ big league team as an extension of the A’s, and Oakland as a Triple-A affiliate of Atlanta because of the large amount of former Braves prospects in their organization.
The A’s And Braves Have Completed A Couple Of Impactful Trades
In the past year, the Braves have traded away Cristian Pache, Shea Langeliers, Kyle Muller, Freddy Tarnok, Ryan Cusick, and Joey Estes.
That’s a lot of young players right there!
Olson came over to replace departing Freddie Freeman before the 2022 season, and had a great performance with his hometown Braves.
The Braves are hoping that Murphy, who hit 18 home runs with a 122 wRC+ (.759 OPS) and excellent defense with the A’s this past season, can also be a star.
He is expected to share catching duties with Travis d’Arnaud.
He has the goods to deliver an excellent performance and is three years away from reaching free agency, making him a worthwhile investment for Atlanta.
