Hawks and Nets have traded for John Collins

The Brooklyn Nets have had a rather turbulent start to the season. Despite having some of the most talented rosters in the entire NBA, the numerous extra-sports problems that have affected the franchise have diverted attention from what is supposed to be the great objective: conquering the ring.

For now, the waters have temporarily returned to their course since the departure of manager Steve Nash was completed. The Nets have also recovered their absent troops and the last three victories, with Jacque Vaughn in charge of the bench, have lifted the team to eighth position in the Eastern Conference with a record of 12-11.

In any case, the Nets have been able to focus exclusively on what is happening on the field and the management has set to work in order to reinforce the weaknesses detected. Specifically, the team led by the gerente general Sean Marks will try to strengthen the inside game. And, according to the journalist from SNYIan Begley, would have already established a potential target.

The aforementioned journalist points out that the Nets have recently negotiated with the Atlanta Hawks for John Collins, who is once again in the spotlight of the rumor mill. Bagley does not clarify how far these conversations have gone but assures that they have been positive, resulting in a certain rapprochement between both parties.

It is unknown what the Nets would have brought to the table, but in mid-November, a report by Ric Bucher noted that the Brooklynites are considering releasing Joe Harris, with the aim of adding more talent to their inside game and, to in turn, correct the surplus of troops in the perimeter. Thus, Harris could be at the center of the negotiations in the event of a hypothetical transfer.

It should be noted that, since the summer, other franchises such as the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns or Utah Jazz have also been linked, with greater or lesser force, to the future of John Collins.
