The New York Giants looked like a much better team last season.
They had virtually the same roster from the Joe Judge era, but Brian Daboll’s arrival revamped their once-dead offense.
So, even though they couldn’t keep up that impressive start to the season, it seemed like the dawn of a new era for the G-Men and gave fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the future.
Moreover, the front office also seems to be thrilled with their new coach, as team president John Mara recently showered him with praise.
Even so, Mara also warned him not to sleep on his laurels, as New York fans and media can change their minds in the blink of an eye.
Giants’ President John Mara told @SiriusXMNFL that his HC Brian Daboll is a rockstar – but it comes with trappings. “We kid him, right now he’s Bono walking around New York City,” Mara said. “But as I’ve told him, in this business, it doesn’t take long to go from Bono to Bozo.” pic.twitter.com/1HwAGOxNdQ

Daboll spent years with the Buffalo Bills, working closely with Josh Allen and being one of the biggest responsible behind his development.
The Giants knew they needed someone who could make the most of their weapons in the offense while also figuring out whether Daniel Jones was a franchise-caliber QB or not.
Jones had the best season of his career last year, which is why he was also able to pocket one of the most lucrative deals in the offseason.
Nonetheless, that deal also comes with plenty of responsibility and a heavy weight on his shoulders, as he’ll be more scrutinized more than ever after getting that big payday.
The Giants look poised to be even better next season, and they better be, as Mara has already warned them about going from Bono to Bozos.
