The Toronto Blue Jays are a team that looks very dangerous as the 2023 season progresses.
After opening the season with a series loss to the St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto battled back and took three out of four from the Kansas City Royals.
Much of their success is thanks in large part to none other than Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
He hit a clutch home run on Thursday against the Royals and now has two on the season.
The 24-year-old is also hitting .407 with six RBI and an OPS of 1.167.
On MLB Network, former MLB star Mark DeRosa broke down Guerrero’s hot start and discussed his powerful swing.

Both of Guerrero’s home runs have come in his last two games.
In those games, he is 6-for-9 and has scored four runs.
DeRosa discussed how Guerrero, despite a solid season in 2022, had tried a little too hard, by his own admission, chasing pitches outside of the strike zone.
The former MLB star even went as far as to say that if Guerrero is able to control the strike zone when he’s in the box, he is easily one of the top-five hitters in all of baseball.
DeRosa played several clips of Guerrero hitting home runs and also took note of the fact that he has seemingly reworked his swing and is doing a better job of driving the ball.
Toronto won 92 games last season and earned a Wild Card spot thanks in large part to Guerrero, and if the slugger stays hot, the Blue Jays should have a very successful season.
