The Philadelphia Phillies are a team that is loaded with talent up and down the roster.

However, one player may get lost among his fellow stars.

While Bryce Harper, JT Realmuto, Trea Turner, Nick Castellanos, and Kyle Schwarber grab most of the headlines, third baseman Alec Bohm is just as important to the team as his fellow stars and is often overlooked.

The Phillies third baseman and slugger is a consistent power threat at the plate and is capable of coming up big in key situations.

On MLB Network, analyst and former player Anthony Recker talked about Bohm and what he does so well.

Recker talked mainly about Bohm’s hitting.

So far this spring, Bohm has been swinging a hot bat.

The 26-year-old has gone deep three times and is hitting for a .412 batting average.

Highlights of his spring success were shown on MLB Network, as Recker discussed his ability to hit all field and find holes in the defense.

Bohm also put on some pounds of muscle, which should help him in terms of power.

So far, that appears to be paying off this spring, and the Phillies certainly have to like what they’re seeing out of their third baseman.

Recker described that as a reason for Bohm to trust himself to be able to hit the ball to all parts of the field and find ways to get on base.

He also made a very definitive statement about the Phillies star third baseman, saying that Bohm “hits everything, and he hits it well.”
