On Tuesday, the St. Louis Cardinals had a special visit at Busch Stadium.
Famous soccer star Matt Turner, who is currently the goalkeeper for Arsenal Football Club and recently made the United States Men’s National Team, was at the house.
While he is known for his soccer prowess, Turner is also quite skilled at baseball and once played.
Although he chose soccer, baseball is still a part of him.
At Busch Stadium on Tuesday, Turner took batting practice before the Cardinals faced the Houston Astros in the series opener.
Once that was over, he caught up with MLB Network’s Jon Morosi to talk about his baseball experience before Wednesday’s Gold Cup game.

Turner said he was finally pleased with the changes he made to batting practice Tuesday.
He said he had to “get the cobwebs out early,” but once he got used to it, he got comfortable and hit a few home runs.
Morosi asked Turner how important baseball was to him growing up.
Turner said it was fun playing in so many different tournaments and learning the game at a young age, discussing everything it takes to be successful in baseball.
He also remembered meeting so many different people and learning about different baseball cultures growing up.
Turner even said that there were several moments in his life when he thought he would choose baseball over soccer, and that if you had asked his childhood friends if they thought he would end up being a professional soccer player, they wouldn’t. they would have believed. he.
Baseball was Turner’s favorite sport growing up.
