Rob Gronkowski will go down as one of the greatest tight ends in National Football League history.

Even despite all the injuries, he still managed to have a legendary career, becoming a tackle-breaking machine and one of the most dominant physical specimens in the end zone.

He was like a combination of Shannon Sharpe and Tony Gonzalez out there, and while some claim that Travis Kelce has already one-upped him, he’s a top-5 guy all-time at that position at worst.

That’s why NFL fans often speculate about a potential comeback.

Some believe he still has some miles left in the tank, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers even tried to convince him to come back from retirement for a second time.

However, that’s just not going to happen, and the four-time Super Bowl champion wants the word out there.

He recently told TMZ that he’s happily retired and that he’s got no intention whatever of coming back, which shouldn’t be much of a surprise at this point:

“There’s no chance anymore,” Gronk said. “I’m happily retired.”

Gronk spent his entire career with Tom Brady, so he might not have much of an incentive to be back on the field now that his legendary teammate has called it a career.

The former New England Patriots star also claimed to be quite good at pickleball, citing that he’s beaten two of his brothers, who play with professionals.

So, while the athleticism, strength, and physical shape are still there, clearly, the desire to play isn’t anymore, and that’s not going to change for the time being.
