The Carolina Panthers have a tough decision to make.
They could either play it rather safely and go with Ohio State’s CJ Stroud—who could wind up being a superstar—or take a chance with Bryce Young.
Young was the consensus best player in this class several months ago, but some new doubts about his size and frame have made some scouts wonder whether he should go first overall.
Nonetheless, that shouldn’t even be a question if it were up to former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky.
Orlovsky took to ESPN’s Get Up to share his thoughts on Young, going as far as to say that he’s a combination of Stephen Curry and Joe Burrow.
He also claimed that Young has the most important trait you want in a quarterback, which is the ability to operate under pressure and not panic when the pocket collapses.
His decision-making is elite, and it’s not like great QBs get their careers ruined by an injury that often, says Orlovsky.
“Bryce [Young] is a combination of Steph Curry… plus Joe Burrow.”

He finished his argument by stating that Carson Wentz is perhaps the last QB people thought would be good and wound up regressing because of injury, which obviously led to several mixed reviews on social media.
wild take

Steph Curry is short and the greatest shooter in the history of basketball
Bryce Young is short and a good prospect
Can we stop with this

We’re just saying anything now huh?

In college ball I agree, but NFL level I don’t see it happen. Look back at every Qb that has come out of Alabama and see where they’re sitting now.

Thank you for not making ridiculous comparisons to Patrick the GOAT

One could argue that one good player ruined by injuries is one too many, and we don’t want that to happen to Young.
Then again, his IQ and poise are so ahead of schedule that we can’t help but think that he’s worth the risk, regardless of how short or skinny he is.
