The New York Jets are one of the most promising teams in the NFL right now, with everyone waiting for the team to officially acquire superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers.
All signs point to the Jets making a massive turnaround during the upcoming 2023 NFL season, with the team having a talented squad on both sides of the football once Rodgers is in the fold in the Big Apple.
Along with potentially being a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC next season, the Jets may get showcased on HBO’s Hard Knocks, as the team is one of four eligible to be on the show.
Unfortunately, the Jets franchise got some bad news on Friday as a result of the passing of the team’s director of football systems, Matthew Capogrosso.
The Jets took to Twitter to announce the passing of Capogrosso, urging fans of the storied franchise to send love to the Capogrosso family.

Capogrosso had been battling cancer for two years before losing that battle this week.
He worked for the Jets franchise for 15 seasons.
Capogrosso’s job was initially as a software designer for the team, which he held for 13 seasons before becoming the director of football systems for the past two seasons in New York.
The system that Capogrosso created had to do with scouting and player evaluations, which is obviously an essential part of the process of putting a winning football team on the field.
