The New York Mets are one of the most disappointing teams in MLB this season.

They have failed to meet the high expectations that many people had for them.

After a 101-win season last year, getting back to the playoffs was the main goal.

Well, they’ve found themselves in a place where their target doesn’t seem likely.

The Mets are 36-43 on the year and sit 16.5 games behind the Atlanta Braves for first place in the NL East.

Also, they are 8.5 games away from a wild card berth.

Mets owner Steve Cohen decides to have a press conference about the state of his team.

According to FOX Sports: MLB, Cohen is preparing his management team for all the possibilities if they can’t turn their season around.

Many Mets fans have already given up hope on this team and this season.

The Mets have failed at almost everything this season.

His pitching has been poor and his hitting has plenty of room to improve.

Some fans hope the Mets trade all their veterans and start a rebuild.

Cohen also made a strong comment in his press conference blaming the players.

They are the underperformers on the field and many fans tend to agree.

Still, the Mets have a month to try to turn their season around.

The trade deadline is August 1, and that’s when Cohen must decide what to do with the team.

This is looking more and more like a lost season for the Mets.

But its owner is at least hopeful of a second half of recovery.
