During the Kansas City Chiefs’ Divisional matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Patrick Mahomes suffered an injury scare.
Even though he went off to the locker room, Mahomes returned to the field, leading the Chiefs to victory.
Shortly after the game, however, the Chiefs announced that Mahomes had a high ankle sprain, which put his status for the AFC Championship into question.

Ever since the Chiefs drafted him, Mahomes has been one of the most well-liked players in the league.
The wizardry that he puts forth on the football field paired with his off-field charitable works has created the perfect pairing, winning over Chiefs fans almost immediately.

There are very few analysts on Twitter who are bonafide healthcare professionals, so we will certainly leave the healing up to them.
However, it’s fun to imagine a Mr. Miyagi-like healing process for Mahomes as he is dealing with this high ankle sprain.
Although Mahomes led the league in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and passer rating this season, the ground game is equally important to his game.
If he is unable to scramble like normal, the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense might be able to take full advantage of a hobbled Mahomes.
This, paired with the fact that Mahomes has never beaten the Bengals in his career is shaping up to make Sunday’s game an interesting storyline.
Will Mahomes be able to fight through this injury, allowing the Chiefs to come away with a victory?
