Every year, NFL and non-NFL fans alike all over the world patiently wait for the release of the new edition of the Madden video game.
And now that we finally have a glimpse of how the game will look like and who’s going to be on the cover, fans obviously took to Twitter to roast EA Sports in what has now become a yearly tradition.

Wake me up when the MLBs don’t have 70 inch verticals and the CBs don’t have eyes in the back of their heads

Every year, fans complain about the video game price and the fact that there aren’t actually that many differences in terms of gameplay, features, or even game modes.
But truth be told, the game of football hasn’t changed all that much from year to year, so why would the video game be any different?
Fans will pretty much pay for updated rosters and the chance to get bragging rights online against some of their friends or even unknown guys, and that’s perfectly fine.
Madden has become a massive success, and that’s not going to change overnight, and it’s not like the game isn’t enjoyable or anything like that.
Also, they continue to find ways to make the game marketable, and introducing Josh Allen as the cover athlete is most definitely going to guarantee thousands of sales for his fans all over the world.
Patrick Mahomes shut down all that narrative about the so-called Madden Curse and led his team to a Super Bowl win in the very same year he was featured on the cover.
Now, it’ll be up to Allen to try and find that same success.
