It’s hard to imagine anyone else playing Thor other than Chris Hemsworth, but he recently shared that his brother almost got the role.
During an interview with MensXP he explained how his brother was auditioning for the role and made it pretty far in the process before they decided to choose Chris instead. He talked about the audition process and his brother said,
“He was one of the first people who got right down to the wire on getting the part so, I don’t know, I could cross paths with him. That will be fun.”
I have added,
“In this film, the multiverse is not something we explore. But who knows if there is more in the future as you say it has opened up multitudes of options we can head in or be taken in.”
He went on to talk about how it all came to be. He even shared how the competition with his brother motivated him to get the part.
he said,
“They were like, ‘Look, he’s great, but he’s a bit young.’ My manager then said, ‘Well, he does have an older brother,’ which was me. I came back in, re-audited a few times, and just had a different attitude. Maybe I had a little more sort of motivation that my little brother got a look in and I hadn’t. I also had done a couple of films in between those two auditions, so I had a bit more experience and confidence in what I was going to do.”
Thor Love And Thunder was recently released in theaters and fans seem to have mixed feelings about it. Some felt it was a nice change of pace from the other Marvel films, but others felt like it really missed the mark and made a mockery of Marvel.

Just talking with the wife about this one. Who should Liam Hemsworth play in the MCU? Wife would like to see him as a Thor variant but I’m thinking human torch…. I just want a scene with him and Chris Evans…. That would be awesome!!

We saw Natalie Thortman as #MightyThor in the trailers but I wish we had been told about Baby Thor played by Liam Hemsworth cause I wasn’t too big on that
