The Carolina Panthers have the top pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and the question is which quarterback will they take with that pick?
Many feel it will be Bryce Young of the University of Alabama, but some think they will instead opt for Ohio State University’s CJ Stroud.
There have even been a few observers who have speculated if Anthony Richardson of the University of Florida, who has seen his stock rise in recent weeks, could be their choice.
Panthers quarterbacks coach Josh McCown was heard saying something to Stroud which some feel implies they will end up drafting him.
did #panthers coach Josh McCown tells CJ Stroud: “Maybe when you live in Charlotte we’ll find a court.” ?

Some feel he is on his way to being the team’s next QB.
He feels like a panthers QB, feels like a great match.

But others doubted that McCown spoke with any type of certainty when he made his supposed statement to Stroud.
Lol that’s not what he said. He said maybe when you come to Charlotte we’ll find a court

As he should, he will probably say something similar to Bryce Young as well. When you’re dating someone you say anything that sounds promising for a future

Stroud posted 3,688 passing yards and 41 touchdowns this past season after going for 4,435 passing yards and 44 passing touchdowns on a 71.9 percent completion rate in 2021.
That year, he led the Buckeyes to a come-from-behind win in the Rose Bowl over the University of Utah while achieving a Rose Bowl record 573 passing yards and six touchdown passes.
While many have questions and doubts about Young’s modest stature (he’s listed at six feet tall and less than 200 pounds), Stroud is a solid 6-foot-3 and weighs 214 pounds.
After a chaotic 2022 season, Carolina appears to be building the beginnings of a respectable team after signing Pro Bowl running back Miles Sanders and acquiring wide receiver Adam Thielen, who will give its next QB a couple of reliable weapons.
