Dodgers Manager Shares A Strong Message With His Club

The Los Angeles Dodgers enjoyed another successful season in 2022, winning 111 games, which was the most of any team in all of baseball.

Unfortunately, they fell apart in the NLDS and were eliminated by their division rivals, the San Diego Padres.

San Diego also had a very busy offseason, while the Dodgers were mostly quiet.

However, that doesn’t affect the way that manager Dave Roberts views his club.

In fact, he seems pretty excited to get to work and take another shot at a World Series title.

Roberts shared an inspiring message with his club on Monday before workouts began, expressing confidence in what they have, but also pushing them to remain positive throughout the season and find a way to enjoy the grind.

The Dodgers posted a video of his speech on Twitter.

Clearly, Roberts feels as though the Dodgers have as good of a chance as anybody in baseball to win the World Series.

Despite losing Trea Turner, Justin Turner, and Cody Bellinger, the Dodgers still have a strong core that consists of Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Will Smith, Gavin Lux, and Max Muncy.

The team also signed veteran slugger JD Martinez to a one-year, $10 million contract.

So while there was plenty of turnover and not a lot of offseason activity, the Dodgers still have a good team that appears prepared to take another step in 2023.

The Dodgers have won the NL West in nine of the past 10 seasons and have reached the postseason in each of the last 10.
