Derrick Rose wants to stay with the Knicks

Despite the growing rumors that pointed to a possible ‘buyout‘ with the New York Knicks, Derrick Rose has recently denied these rumors, and assures “to be focused” with the team in its future aspirations to play the playoffs, reported the media New York Daily News.

“I’m still here, and my mentality hasn’t changed at all. I’m still focused with this team, talking to the guys, being a tutor for them… I’m just trying to be a leader for them,” he noted.

Rose, one of Tom Thibodeau’s favorite protégés, has been dropped from the rotation this year in place of young point guards Immanuel Quickley and Miles McBride.

He has barely played 26 official games with figures of 5.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 12.9 minutes per day.

If he finally left the Knicks, he would have been linked to the Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings, according to sources close to the player.
