Derrick Rose goes to Memphis for two years

The Memphis Grizzlies have added another veteran this offseason in the arrival of Derrick Rose. According to a report from CUTthe point guard has signed for two years, while the journalist from the athleticShams Charania has added that the value of the pact is 6.5 million.

According to ESPN journalist Adrian Wojnarowski, Memphis wants Rose on the track and also as a leader in the locker room. At 34 years of age, he is on track to start his 15th season. In the last contest with the New York Knicks, he barely averaged 12.5 minutes in 27 games and, in numerous games, he has been left out of the rotation.

After a year with several extra-sports news about its leader Ja Morant -suspended for 25 games-, the management has decided to seek experience and maturity in the market. Previously, through a transfer, they took over the services of Marcus Smart, who in the next calendar will reach a decade in the NBA.

For her part, Rose will return to Memphis 15 years later. In 2008 she led the university from that city to the NCAA Final Four. It was the only contest that he played as a university student.

The former 2011 MVP arrived in the Big Apple midway through 2020-21 and helped the roster qualify for the postseason that year, finishing third in Sixth Man voting.
