Former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter will return to the game he loves so much: baseball.
No, he won’t be playing anymore after retiring in 2014.
And no, he won’t be joining any ownership groups after his sour experience as the Miami Marlins CEO, one that ended before the 2022 campaign.
This time, he will be working with Fox Sports for the upcoming season.
He will be on the MLB broadcast team.

Jeter has always felt comfortable speaking in crowds and to the public, generally speaking.
He was never fazed by the infamous New York media when he played for the Yankees.
Years of experience giving interviews and talking to the press, not to mention being around the game and seeing just about anything on a baseball field, have likely prepared him for this moment.
He was a high school star, a struggling minor leaguer, an improving prospect, a Rookie of the Year, a World Series champion, a postseason hero, a Hall of Famer, and then an executive.
He won the Fall Classic five times, as he was the face of the franchise in the late-1990s dynasty.
He leads all Yankees players in hits (3,465), doubles (544), games played (2,747), stolen bases (358), plate appearances (12,602) and at bats (11,195).
He also went to 14 All-Star Games, won five Gold Gloves, five Silver Slugger Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards, and a Roberto Clemente Award.
His number 2 is retired by the Yankees.
Fans from all over the country will be able to hear the way he analyzes the game at the booth.
