The New Orleans Saints were aggressive in looking for a new quarterback this offseason.
They even found their guy before the new league year begins on March 15th.
Former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will now be the signal-caller for the Saints.
Carr had plenty of interest from a few teams.
Before making a massive decision on where he would play, he wanted to speak to some NFL legends.
According to Sean Fazende, Carr reached out to Archie and Peyton Manning before making his decision.

This makes sense as the Mannings have a history in New Orleans.
Archie was the Saints’ quarterback for 11 seasons, and he was their second-overall pick in 1971.
He knows what it is like to play in the city and could give Carr plenty of pointers.
Even though Peyton never played for the Saints, he grew up in the city.
He was born in New Orleans and he understands what life is like for a kid.
That is important to Carr as he has kids of his own and he wants to make sure New Orleans is a good spot for his family.
Now that Carr is with the Saints, it will be interesting to see how he performs.
The Saints will be the favorites to win the NFC South next season, as Carr is the best quarterback in the division.
It would be a disappointment if they are not playing in the playoffs next year.
