After another disappointing season, the Dallas Cowboys have made some moves this offseason in the hopes of making a deep playoff run next year.
They acquired cornerback Stephon Gilmore to bolster their secondary, let running back Ezekiel Elliott leave as a free agent, and traded for wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
Another notable move Dallas made was to pick up the option on the contract of No. 1 receiver CeeDee Lamb.
According to Cowboys insider Calvin Watkins, Lamb’s contract will pay him $17.9 million for the 2024 campaign.

Lamb, the No. 17 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has gradually ascended during his three pro seasons and has become a bona fide star.
Last year, he posted 1,359 receiving yards and nine touchdowns while earning his second-straight trip to the Pro Bowl.
He has made the departure of Amari Cooper, who was traded to the Cleveland Browns last offseason, a little easier to stomach for Cowboys fans.
With the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles losing key players such as Pro Bowl running back Miles Sanders and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, the window may be open for Dallas to regain control of the NFC East.
They have done well in the regular season the last couple of years, but despite one of the league’s most talented rosters, they have fallen short in the playoffs, losing to their arch-rival San Francisco 49ers both years.
The Cowboys haven’t reached the NFC Championship Game since 1995, the last time they won the Super Bowl, and for a franchise that has won five Super Bowls, nothing short of a world championship is acceptable.
