Cody Martin will miss the next month and a half of competition

Charlotte Hornets forward Cody Martin has undergone an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee and is expected to be away from the court for the next six weeks, according to a reporter from The Athletic Shams Charania.

Martin had been sidelined since the first game of the regular season, in which he only played one minute. Although his injury was initially determined to be a pain in the left quadriceps, Martin was suffering from discomfort in said knee due to a tendinopathy from which he was recovering. The Hornets’ own coach, Steve Clifford, made mention of the affected area after his departure from the opening match of the course.

His good performance during the past year helped him to close a commitment with the Hornets this summer at a rate of four years and 31 million dollars. In Charlotte they have been greatly diminished by injuries at the start of the season, which have affected important pieces of the squad such as LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward and Terry Rozier.
