During the 2022 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers had one of the league’s youngest cores of wide receivers.
When healthy, they routinely started Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, who were both rookies last season.
The Packers were forced to rely heavily on Allen Lazard, who is now a free agent.
His former teammate, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, has taken it upon himself to recruit Lazard to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Pay the man! Happy whatever way it goes for you. But also come to KC. @AllenLazard https://t.co/E0NIdHOfNj

MVS was a key contributor for the Chiefs during the 2022 campaign, especially in the AFC Championship.
As a whole, the Chiefs had a depleted wide receiver room, especially given Tyreek Hill’s absence from the roster.
They did add JuJu Smith-Schuster to their roster but could use another veteran receiver to get deeper at the position.
The Chiefs offense runs through Travis Kelce, who had the sixth-most targets in the NFL last season.
For comparison, the next closest target-getter on the Chiefs was Smith-Schuster, who had 51 fewer targets than Kelce.
By adding in a receiver like Lazard, the Chiefs would be able to put less pressure on Kelce, and hopefully get him more open as well.
Kelce is typically the primary focus for opposing defences, considering the Chiefs’ overall lack of receivers.
If Lazard or another wide receiver can pull attention away, this could go a long way for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs were able to win the Super Bowl despite being shallow at the receiver position.
Will they be able to make a huge free-agent signing, boosting their team that much more?
