On Friday, the St. Louis Cardinals returned home from a six-game road trip that saw them go 1-5 and sputter offensively.
However, they had eked out a 1-0 win over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday.
On Friday, the bats finally woke up and erupted for seven runs.
Leading the way for St. Louis was rookie phenom Jordan Walker, who was recently called back up to the Major Leagues after having been demoted in April.
Walker hit a towering two-run homer in the second inning against Cincinnati Reds starter Ben Lively.
He also picked up two more hits after his home run.
On Twitter, Bally Sports Midwest posted a graphic featuring Walker’s impressive stats from Friday’s win.

Walker went 3-for-4 with a home run, two singles, and two RBI against the Reds.
St. Louis won the game by a final score of 7-4 and won a game in the NL Central on the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Cardinals have closed the gap back to seven games.
But it was Walker who was the story of the game for the Cardinals as they won their second consecutive game and improved to 27-37.
Walker got off to a hot start this season, recording a 12-game hit streak to start his career.
St. Louis optioned the top prospect towards the end of April hoping to help him hit the ball for more power.
Walker has since returned and has done just that, providing the Cardinals with a little extra power in an already stacked lineup.
The 21-year-old is hitting .278 with four home runs to start his career.
