The storied career of Albert Pujols has reached its end.
The St. Louis Cardinals were fortunate that the future Hall-of-Famer decided to come back to the team that drafted and developed him for one last ride alongside Yadier Molina.
Fans were of course on board with the move, excited to see a franchise legend back in Cardinal threads.
After a dreadful first half, Pujols gave Cardinals fans a fantastic second half that culminated in the 42-year-old hitting home run No. 700 of his career.
On Twitter, a Cardinals fan posted the highlight video, reminiscing about what truly was a special moment in franchise history.

Reliving The Moment
Cardinals fans will get goosebumps watching this moment for years to come.
During his first-half struggles, the thought of Pujols reaching 700 home runs seemed to be wishful thinking.
But when he turned it back on in the second half, the dream became more realistic.
Finally, on September 23 at Dodger Stadium, Pujols took Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Phil Bickford deep to reach the all-important milestone, setting the scene for a long ovation from fans and hugs from his Cardinals teammates.
Pujols would hit three more home runs after No. 700, finishing with a total of 703 and cementing himself in fourth on the all-time home run list, behind just Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and Babe Ruth.
While his career ended in unceremonious fashion, with the Cards dropping the Wild Card Series to the Philadelphia Phillies, Pujols’ accomplishments will never be forgotten, and Cardinals fans will be forever grateful that they got to see him hit No. 700 in Cardinal Red.
