Brewers Analyst Comments On The Wildness Of The NL Central

The Milwaukee Brewers were dealt another tough blow on Saturday night as they fell to the scorching San Francisco Giants by a final score of 3-1.

The Brewers officially lost their series with San Francisco and could potentially be swept.

However, despite their struggles, they remain in first place in the NL Central.

They own a record of 27-25 and lead by a half-game over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Only the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds won yesterday in the Central.

But the last-place Chicago Cubs are just 4.5 games out of first in the division.

On Twitter, Brewers analyst Jack Stern pointed out just how wild and crazy the NL Cental is at the moment.

One can always assume that when a team that is only two games above the .500 mark leads their division, that division is going through some serious struggles.

The Cardinals are the hottest team in the division and have come to within four games of the Brewers for first place, yet they still remain six games below the .500 mark.

By no means is the NL Central a powerhouse, but the teams within the division have all struggled immensely.

The Brewers’ struggles have allowed the rest of the division to keep pace and stay close.

Even the Cubs, who are at the bottom of the pack are within striking distance.

And so, as the month of June approaches, the NL Central masquerades as one of the worst divisions in all of baseball, second only to the woeful AL Central.
