Opening Day in MLB has started, and there are 15 games on the schedule.
One of them is the Atlanta Braves-Washington Nationals clash.
Early in the game, in the fourth inning, the Braves lost their starter, Max Fried, due to injury.

By the look of things, it doesn’t appear to be that bad.
However, the hamstring is extremely important for pitchers.
The injury was described as left hamstring discomfort.
It clearly happened in that play in the video, as he ran to cover first base in the fourth inning.
At this point, whether or not Fried can make his next scheduled start next week remains up in the air.
The team should provide some additional information and details in the coming hours.
A trip to the injured list remains a possibility, but we will have to wait for official word.
Fried was pitching a nice game against the Nationals.
He was able to complete 3.1 innings, allowing four hits and an earned run.
He didn’t walk anybody and struck out a couple of Nationals hitters.
Lucas Luetge and Jesse Chavez combined to pitch 2.1 frames of just a single run, somewhat mitigating Fried’s early departure.
The left-hander is one of the most important pitchers on the Braves’ staff.
Last year, he pitched 185.1 innings with a 14-7 record, a 2.48 ERA, 170 strikeouts, and a rock-solid 1.01 WHIP.
Those are the numbers of a Cy Young candidate.
Hopefully his absence is limited to missing a start or two.
Seeing him making his next start is also a possibility.
If you are a Braves fan, sit tight and wait for official news.
