Ben Simmons’ journey with the Brooklyn Nets could have come to an end, since according to sources close to the New York franchise, coach Jacque Vaughn would be considering sitting him out for the remainder of the regular season.
The Australian has not played an official match since February 16, and has recently been dropped against the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks, and is also ruled out to play the next derby against the New York Knicks on March 2.
Simmons missed all of last season after dragging alleged “physical problems” that prevented him from debuting with the Nets (he didn’t even make the playoffs). However, in this course things have not gone much better for him and he looks “mentally out” of his game.
Since he arrived in the NBA in 2016, he has been averaging the worst numbers of his professional career with 6.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 26 minutes per day through 56% shooting from the field and, a lot of attention, 46% in free throws!
It should be remembered that, in addition to the 35 million that this course is being collected, a total of 79 million guaranteed until 2025 remain ahead.
